CLUBHOUSE
The Club's Founder, Charles Stuart Goodfellow, had decided to take up the sport in 1902 after seeing people playing golf on the sand when holidaying at Minehead. A nine-hole course was designed and laid out on the Pencapel farm Lands on Caerphilly Mountain in 1905, and the area occupied by the course remained substantially the same until 1963.
The club's eminent history include an incident during World War 1 when a member landed his airplane on No. 1 fairway - perhaps one day that will be the conventional way to arrive?
The Clubhouse
is a mix of Modern and Old boasting a traditional Men's bar, a modern lounge
area and a ladies bar. Visiting Teams meals and social events are housed in
the multifunctional dining area. The clubhouse has its own snooker room and
spatial locker rooms for male and female members. The clubhouse has had a
complete refurbishment in order to keep up with current trends.
